"For me, writing has captured the freedom of expression and love for our beautiful planet. I would like to urge all to do their part in saving our Mother Earth for future generations to come.
We have but one chance to be the difference!
Conserve, Preserve, then Deserve! " (c)ambervmoonstone

"Save Our Earth"
by Amber "V" Moonstone
4/22/10
Silence is heard
Another tree falls
Visual disaster prevails
Every quake is felt
Over miles of broken land
Under the starless ash filled night
Rays of moonbeams penetrate the clouds
Earth is dying
Are we going to save her?
Re-use, re-cycle, re-store,
The Earth's precious resources
Hear Mother Earth's cry for help!
Author's notes: I dedicate this poem to the students of Jeffrey Elementary School in Madison, CT

Beauty Of My World
by Amber "V" Moonstone
9/18/10
He peeked his head
through the railings,
joyfully pointing
to the squirrel in the yard.
As the squirrel moved
he did too,
from one opening to the other
just to watch the squirrel.
Such blissful innocence
revealing an open heart
and an open mind,
that is filled with love.
A child sees so clearly
with purity of mind and soul.
If only we could get an ounce
of this wonderment back
our hearts would sing
our minds would ring
with honesty and joy.
Our health would reap the benefits.
Today I saw how lucky
I am to be living where I do.
My grandson showed me
the beauty of my world.

The ocean, this full moon, and a very "special man" has inspired this poem! |
My New Voyage by Amber "V" Moonstone 2/01/10 The quiet lull of the ocean waves, I stand upon the shores of time, I drop the rose from my hand, The rose is a symbol of my love, I can feel the clean crisp water, I lift them as if light as a feather, It is with this motion Rebirth, rejuvenation, realizations,

To know of that soul mate, is a blessing, to be separated from that soul mate can be desolation. |
The Soul Mate Connection
Tenderness steals the heart, Nothing can stand in the way, when a soul has felt that tenderness, It sometimes feels so intense Where does it all begin? There is an ache so deep, It is a feeling so deeply rooted It is like a restless itch, Or a soft pain When this energy knows it's mate, Only complete, upon consummation

"Ancient Voices Of The Wind"
By Amber "V" Moonstone
5/01/10
I hear their voices,
traveling through the wind
touching my soul with sacred melodies
soothing the restless spirit that dwells within.
Tenderly guiding my thoughts,
feeling tranquility seeping into my core
Searching for all that is good with the Universe,
Knowing that I will find my way toward peace and love.
The tender beats of the Native drums,
fill me with energy of days long gone by,
longing for that time when the Earth
was pure and clean, and water was nourishing.
We have forsaken the true element of harmony,
man is destined to dwell among the darkness
when the Earth begins to crumble
and dissolve into the abyss of human ignorance.
Longing to bring the Earth and the Native American spirits
back to the harmony that they once shared;
the touching melodies make my mind wander
to the days of the roaming buffalo.
When water was clear of toxins,
and the rivers were refreshing sources
of health and life,
bringing sustenance to all who drank upon it's shores.
When will Mother Earth feel at peace
with mankind once again,
I am still listening for those Ancient voices
that travel serenely through the wind.......
