I began writing poetry during high school in the early seventies. My tenth grade English Teacher was my inspiration.  She gave me the thirst for writing.  During the next thirty years, I raised a family and pursued my professional Costume Design Career.

It was during the year of 2003 that I started to write from an enlightened mind and soul. I try to always embrace change, and the possibility of a better way of living.  I am a free spirit, and I tend to fly toward that elusive rainbow.

I share my experiences with you, and my desire is to spread peace, love, and light.

 I have had the pleasure to travel to Europe over the past several years.  I found Tuscany, Italy to be my favorite place.  Not only is the countryside beautiful, but the people are amazingly healthy and vibrant.  I have learned so many things from my experiences during this tour of Italy.  The picture above, was taken at the Vatican in Rome.  Traveling to me, is the best resource for writing.  I recommend taking a holiday as often as your life allows.  It is rejuvenating for the mind and soul.  My next holiday will be traveling on the Orient Express across Europe to meet and interview as many people as possible! Bon Voyage! Have the time of your life, because you only live once!

Who I Am

I am a published poet, with over 900 poems, and  twelve short stories, written and online for viewing.  I am presently working on Three books, one  entitled "Meet Me Under The Willow Tree", which deals with child abuse; another entitled "Echoes From The Sea" which is a compilation of poetry inspired by my love of the sea/ocean; and thirdly a Native American Book in collaboration with a fellow poet/friend entitled, "Karena, Eagle Medicine Woman". 

I am a professional costume designer with 35 years of experience in the theater world. My career includes 20 years of teaching Costume Design and Costume Construction to high school and college aged students. I am presently teaching/designing and managing the Costume Shop at a College in Hartford, CT.

I am planning on retiring from the Costume World within the next few years to pursue my career in writing full time.

Another interest is the healing art of Reiki.

I have been studying this healing art for the past four years and have become a Reiki Master (September 2007).  I practice Reiki and quantum touch.  Some of my clients have reported remarkable progress in their health and well being. This field is very challenging and rewarding all at the same time. 

Eventually, I will intertwine Reiki and my poetry to bring healing energy to all that read my works. 

Lastly, (but most important) I am proud to be a mom.  I have three brilliant and beautiful children.  They are all adults and very successful in their chosen careers. 

We have recently welcomed my new grandson into our lives.  My son has a son!

He is the light of my life right now.  One day soon he will shine his light for all to witness.
